Dark Chocolate Protein Chocolates
By Anna Sward of Protein Pow
If someone you know who is really into working out and healthy eating has a birthday coming up, why not make him/her a batch of protein chocolates? You can stick them in a fancy box to make them look extra special, stick a note inside the box with the chocolates’ ingredients and macros, and wrap it up in some nice paper to impress them, protein POW style! You can even top every chocolate with something different too, e.g. top one of the chocolates with chopped nuts, another with flaked coconut, another with fruit, etc - to create a truly mixed box of chocolates that he/she will love and most likely never forget!
Ingredients
Servings: 10 Chocolates
¼ cup of Bulk Powders Chocolate WPI
8 tbsp nut butter
¼ cup cocoa powder
6 tbsp almond milk
2 tbsp coconut sugar – or your sweetener of choice
1 tbsp vanilla flavoring drops
4 tbsp Bulk Powders Organic Pea Protein powder
1 tbsp chopped nuts
½ bar of dark chocolate (85%)
Directions
1. In a food processor, mix all your ingredients together (except for the dark chocolate and the nuts) until you get a soft dough that you can shape into squares with your hands. If the mix is too wet, add a bit more cocoa powder, if it’s too dry, add a bit more milk.
2. Melt your dark chocolate in a bain marie and dip your protein squares in there, topping them with chopped nuts for decoration.
3. Leave them to set in the fridge (on a baking tray covered with parchment paper or aluminium foil) for an hour.
4. Ready!
