Four-Ingredient Choc-Chip Whey Protein Cookies
By Anna Sward of Protein Pow
I’ve seen dozens upon dozens – if not hundreds, of protein cookie recipes out there that contain over ten ingredients and end up looking (and tasting) like plastic, or cardboard. This happens all too frequently when it comes to protein cookies made with whey protein powder.
They end up with zero crunch and they don’t crumble. It’s as if their cookie-soul has been stolen, you know? And all you’re left with is a shell of what a cookie is supposed to be like ☹ Well, let me tell you something: it doesn’t have to be this way. It really doesn’t, not when you can make protein cookies using just a few basic ingredients and have them taste absolutely phenomenal! See, for example, the recipe below. You can whip it up in a matter of minutes and the cookies are delicious. Check this out:
Ingredients
2.5 tablespoons cashew nut butter (or peanut butter)
¼ cup of Bulk Powders Vanilla (or chocolate) Whey Protein Concentrate powder
1/8 cup of agave syrup
3-4 chopped squares of dark chocolate (depending on how chocolatey you like your cookies)
Directions
1. In a bowl, mix all ingredients together until you get a dough that you can roll four ‘balls’ out of (if your dough is too crumbly, add a bit more nut butter to it).
2. Press these balls onto a cookie tray to form four cookies.
3. Bake at 160 C for about 10-12 minutes. Take them out early, if you want them soft inside, or let them cook until they’ve browned if you like your cookies crunchy.
4. Done!
